
Dr. Mairim Vega
Dr. Vega completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico and her post-doctorate in pediatric neuropsychology at Texas Childrens Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She currently works as an associate professor at Albizu University in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, offering courses in neuropathology, neuropsychological evaluation and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), among others, as well as supervising research students. Dr. Vega also provides neuropsychological evaluations and intervention to children and adolescents in her private practice. Her presentations and publications include topics related to ASD, pediatric cancer, autoimmune encephalitis, and cognitive assessment.
